Teletherapy is a service delivery model using a HIPAA compliant video platform to hold sessions. Parents will be provided a link to their session and join the session link at their scheduled time. The SLP will provide activities, games, and speech and language targets via the computer while sharing their screen with the child. The child will be able to participate using their mouse, keyboard, etc. as if they are using the same computer.
Evaluations usually take around 60 minutes while treatment sessions are either 30 minutes long or 60 minutes long, and determining the best session length for them will depend on their ability to maintain focus, and which amount of time will promote the most progress.
We work with children and young adults of all ages! With teletherapy as the service delivery model, young children (birth-3) may need a parent to work with them during sessions, however ages 4-21 would likely be able to attend sessions independently.
YES! Virtual speech therapy has been proven to be as effective as in person speech therapy, and in some cases more effective depending on the child’s needs.
We recognize that every child is different and requires more or less time to accomplish their goals. Progress is frequently monitored and communication with parents/caregivers is the key to success in maintaining their skills.
No, at this time we do not bill insurance directly, we are a private-pay only practice. However, if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, we are happy to provide you with a superbill showing your visits and payments.

All that you need for your child to participate in virtual sessions is a computer that has a microphone, camera, and mouse.
We tailor every child’s treatment plan to their needs and preferred activities, most children find that speech therapy from home allows for less pressure, which in turn leads to more engagement and progress.
